The Neraida Floating Museum welcomes primary school students from across Greece aboard for yet another year, inviting them to discover aspects of Greek shipping and coastal navigation, as well as explore themes such as travel and the sea, ships and navigation, communication and transportation, people and memories.
Our free educational activities for primary school children include:
Educational Portfolios (Remote)
Available throughout the 2026–2027 school year
Three Educational Portfolios including activities that can be implemented in the classroom are sent free of charge throughout Greece, offering children a creative introduction to the history of the vessel:
"Traveling with Neraida!" for 1st & 2nd Grade Students
"Anchors Aweigh!" for 3rd & 4th Grade Students
“Neraida: A Ship Full of Stories!” for 5th & 6th grade students
The Educational Portfolios include a variety of visual and educational materials (videos, images, texts, activity cards, etc.), accompanied by detailed guidelines for primary school teachers with suggested activities that can be implemented in the classroom. They are sent free of charge throughout Greece upon application.
Educational Programme: “Travelling with the Neraida: A game on board” (on-sight)
Registration is now open for sessions taking place from January 2027 through the end of the school year.
With the support of educational materials and the guidance of qualified museum educators, students explore the passenger ship Neraida and uncover its fascinating history. The programme will run from January 2027 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 09:30 and 11:00 by prior registration. Admission to the Museum, as well as participation in the educational programme, is free of charge.

Live guided tours of the Neraida Floating Museum. The Interactive Online Guided Tours will run free of charge from January 2027 from Tuesday to Thursday, 09:00-13:00, via online platforms (Webex, Zoom, Skype, etc.), upon registration. Each session lasts approximately one (1) school hour and is open to all schools across Greece.
During the last school year, more than 6,700 students from Attica and other regions of Greece participated in our in-person and remote educational activities!
